Taddo Eyes Thunder Bay Return
A passion for music that began in Thunder Bay has flourished since work brought Catherine Taddo to Sault Ste. Marie in 1998.
Now, the Thunder Bay native, who joined open stages at Lakehead Univesity's student pub and taught guitar while attending Sir Winston Churchill High School, is eager to return home to showcase her musical talents. "I'm really excited about the music I'm making and I would like to share it with my home town," she said. "There's nothing like going back to the place where it all began."
A featured performer last year at Alt-Shift, a monthly showcase in the Sault highlighting original music and prose, the civil engineer has also released a three-track CD. Her acoustic-based pop music, honed by performances in several Sault night spots during the past year, includes Taddo's own compositions and covers artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Toronto. "Thunder Bay was the first chapter in my musical career and was the starting point for a great story which I hope will never end," she said.
